“Iniquity” refers to a bent toward a certain sin

In Biblical times, a curse was a powerful force that was capable of taking words and translating them into results.

These verses are not saying*that every bad thing which happens to you is some kind of curse,

These verses also do not say that people being punished for the sins of their forefathers

A generational curse is saying you may experience the consequences of the sins of another generation

A generational curse is an unhealthy pattern of behavior
