The Holy Spirit is the personal presence of God – Gordon Fee
Experiencing the Holy Spirit is to be filled with BOLDNESS.
BOLD: “A person – showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous.”
Key verse: Acts 4:31
BIG IDEA: You will experience the BOLDNESS of the Spirit as you step into places that are uncomfortable; when you face situations that challenge your faith. It’s when you take a risk and do what might even scare you.
Examples from the Bible: David, Zechariah, Peter and John
Shaking or Speaking? To experience the Holy Spirit is to have an internal touch. But it also means speaking.
Acts 1:8 “…and you will be my witnesses”.
You will experience the HS when you are in uncomfortable places – places where you need to live by faith, where you step out and do what might even scare you. (Luke 12:11)
“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.”Eleanor Roosevelt
Go for it. Take a risk.Do something scary, because that’s when you will experience the Holy Spirit.
